Ingredients
- 1 and ½ sticks butter, softened at room temperature
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup cane sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 and ½ cup flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and use butter to grease a 9inch pan.
- Add the softened butter to a mixing bowl with brown sugar and cane sugar.
- Use a hand mixer to cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add the vanilla extract and an egg and mix together with the creamed butter and sugar.
- Pour the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into the bowl and mix with the wet ingredients.
- Add the chocolate chips into the bowl and fold the chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
- Transfer the cookie dough to the buttered pan and spread out evenly in the pan.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake the cookie cake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
- When a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cake, remove the pan from the oven.
- Allow the cookie cake to cool before cutting into slices to serve.
